Good Tuesday afternoon dear friends!
June has been a full and beautiful month here in our little corner of the world, full of garden dirt under fingernails, sunlit evenings, summer homeschool tasks, and all the bustling rhythms of business trips, camping, and recovery.
In light of all that goodness (and the weariness that sometimes follows to be frank with you), I’ll be taking the next two weeks off from posting here on Substack to catch my breath, refill my cup, and allow space for rest. I hit a wall this week as I took on too much, piling home projects I need to finish, and finally… a strong migraine completely took me out.
It was a painful reminder that even hobbit-hearted homemakers need a pause now and then to tend the soul, bake something scrumptios, and just read a good book for fun instead of betterment. (Can you tell I’m fatigued?!)
But before I go quiet, I wanted to say thank you. Truly! Thank you. This week, especially, I have been overcome by your support, encouragement, and shared love for all things cozy. Your presence has been such a gift. Whether you’ve commented, shared, subscribed, or simply read along with a cup of tea in hand, I’m grateful you’re here!
Something warm is coming…
While I rest, something exciting is quietly simmering behind the scenes… a cozy collaboration that is absolutely divine. I can’t say too much just yet, but let’s just say… It’s something I think even Rosie Cotton would keep on the windowsill. Keep your eyes peeled, I'll be sharing more soon!

What Is Hobbit Homemaking?
There is something undeniably enchanting about hobbit life… the simple joys, warm homes, and intentional way of living obviously inspire so many through the works of Tolkien!
Finding Comfort in the Little Things
There are seasons when the weight of life feels heavier than usual, when the world outside seems a little too loud, our thoughts a little too unkind, and our spirits a little too weary. In those moments, the Danish concept of hygge can be a gentle balm to your burdened spirit, offering a way to care for ourselves without pressure or expectation.
We were never meant to know everything.
To hold the heartbreak of the entire world in our hands and still show up whole and present in our own homes and for those who need us.
It’s important to be aware! There are times we are called to pick up our sword and shield.
There are also times the burdens are too much.
It's okay to turn it off for a while.
To step away from the noise.
To tend your garden.
To sit in the quiet.
If that resonates with your heart, this post is for you…
